Largest Floating Library Under AKS Agency

Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating book fair, docked at Aqaba on January 25th, 2023, with some 350 volunteers from more than 65  nationalities on board. It is a unique example of unity in cultural diversity; The ship aims to spread knowledge, help, and hope around the world.

The Official Opening on January 26th, 2023, was hosted by her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali, and was attended by Jordanian officials, Ministers, and various Ambassadors.

On the other hand, the Cultural Ceremony was hosted by Her Excellency Ms Haifa Al Najjar where volunteers of Logos Hope performed their national dances, showcasing their cultures and tradition. Speaking at the event, Mrs. Nadia Shahin, General Manager of Amin Kawar & Sons, said “We take pride in contributing to the cultural awareness and diversity that initiatives like Logos Hope bring to our shores. Logos Hope and her sister ships have been coming to Aqaba for the past 50 years under our agency, and we hope to

see it return many more times in the next 50”.

The vessel is welcoming the public to access more than 800,000 books in a wide range of genres and will be at Aqaba port until February 14^th, 2023.
