Kawar Receives Medal of the State Centennial

On May 25th, 2021, his Majesty King Abdullah bestowed the order of the State Centennial on a number of leading national figures who have contributed to Jordan’s progress and achievements, during the ceremony marking Jordan’s 75th Independence Day.

During the event, the late Amin Kamel Kawar was posthumously awarded the Medal of the State Centennial. His grandson Rudain Kawar- The CEO of Amin Kawar and Sons, received the award. Rudain Kawar said it was an honor for him to receive this great medal on his late grandfather’s behalf who was recognized by His Majesty the King for his efforts in building the country and advancing its' development.

It is important to mention that Kawar Group’s foundations began when Amin Kawar’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for geology led him in 1935 to the discovery of phosphate and the establishment of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, which led his son Tawfiq Kawar to establish Amin Kawar and Sons in 1953, which is the foundation of Kawar Group.

 His Majesty emphasized the importance of service to the nation and the people, and the importance of these values for the younger generation. Kawar Group shared this same vision, by encouraging the younger generation to focus on providing excellence in all sectors of the group and establishing sustainable value to the Jordanian market.


 

في الخامس والعشرين من مايو 2021 ، أهدى جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني وسام مئوية الدولة لعدد من الشخصيات الوطنية البارزة الذين ساهموا في تقدم الأردن وإنجازاته ، وذلك خلال حفل الاحتفال بعيد استقلال الأردن الخامس والسبعين.

خلال الحدث ، تم منح الراحل أمين كامل قعوار وسام الذكرى المئوية للدولة. تسلم الجائزة حفيده ردين قعوار الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة أمين قعوار وأولاده. وقال ردين قعوار إنه لشرف كبير له أن يتسلم هذا الوسام العظيم نيابة عن جده الراحل الذي نال تقدير جلالة الملك لجهوده في بناء الوطن و تنميته.

من المهم أن نذكر أن تأسيس مجموعة قعوار بدأ عندما وجّه أمين قعوار شغفه بالجيولوجيا في عام 1935 إلى اكتشاف الفوسفات وإنشاء شركة مناجم الفوسفات الأردنية ، مما دفع ابنه توفيق قعوار إلى تأسيس شركة أمين قعوار وأولاده في عام 1953 والتي تعتبر بداية تأسيس مجموعة قعوار.

وأكد جلالته أهمية خدمة الوطن والشعب، وأهمية هذه القيم لجيل الشباب. تشارك مجموعة قعوار هذه الرؤية ذاتها ، من خلال تشجيع جيل الشباب على التركيز لتطوير التميّز في جميع قطاعات المجموعة وإنشاء قيمة مستدامة للسوق الأردني.
